Black Convoy — or Scourge, if you prefer — is now pretty much available to anyone who wants one thanks to some improvements in the Custom Masters process.
I started with an Action Master Optimus Prime, obviously. But it got a bit more intricate. I sanded the back of the AM Prime until it was reasonably flat (I sanded straight through the plastic in some places). Then, I disassembled a Spychanger Scourge, took the cab portion from his back, and glued it to the AM Prime's back with polystyrene cement.
Previously, that was where the process ended. But this time, I was able to make a mold of the part and reproduce it as one solid piece. I did the same thing with the shoulder/front fender assembly. The wheels no longer spin, but life goes on.
Keen eyes will notice that Black Convoy’s head is also molded in this same translucent red plastic, giving him the same sort of glowing eyes that the Black Convoy toy has:
Another improvement to Black Convoy is a completely original Sword of Fury molded in translucent red plastic, as seen at left.
