Ghost PVC

There had been a lot of talk on customizing boards about the use of clothing dye on kitbashes. Ghost here is proof that the use of such dyes can be very effective.

Chris Tordesillas of Iaconcity came up with the concept for Ghost; basically, he is a survivor of a failed Decepticon stealth technology experiment (not too unlike the Philadelphia Experiment). As a result, hes practically transparent. I thought clear paints would make the brushstrokes too obvious, so I set about coming up with another solution.

Working on a tip from Chip Wallace, I took a clear PVC Seeker and dipped him — quickly — in a pot of dye. The original PVC can be seen to the left; above it is the latest Action Master-type project.

The following colors were used on Ghost:
  • Denim Blue (RIT Dye)
  • Clear Red (Tamiya)
