Guardian Robot

The Guardian Robots took center stage towards the end of Dreamwave’s second six-part G1 adventure, reactivated by Shockwave to protect Epsilon from the “rogue” Autobot factions. Sometimes referred to as Sentinels, the Guardian Robots have various origins depending on which continuity flag you wave. The cartoon tells us that these powerhouses were built by the Quintessons to protect Cybertronian cities from the mutinous Transformers, and that Omega Supreme is the last of his kind. Of course, throw that theory out the window if you side with Dreamwave: Want your head to really hurt? In the Transformer novels, there’s a character called Omega Sentinel who’s black and gold and allied with the Decepticons. Ah, canon… Anyway, as you can probably guess, this is a pretty straightforward repaint of an Omega Supreme PVC figure.
